Human Traffickers Arrested In Belfast
Three people, two men and a women, have been charged with human trafficking after raids at seven brothels in Belfast.
The three face charges of trafficking for sexual exploitation, controlling prostitution and brothel keeping. They are also charges with money laundering offences.
Another woman is charged with controlling prostitution and will appear with the other three in Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday.
Human traffickers have been targeted across the UK by police in a programme called Operation Apsis.
The UK authourities say that they are determined to:
"recover victims, both UK and foreign nationals who have been trafficked for sexual exploitation."
