The flow of new media should based on fact

Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the mainstream media is very different from the flow of new media for the publication of each news is based on fact.

He said, though the mainstream media have published the views or opinions of certain parties in the news, but it is still based on the facts.

Reported, compared to new media trends, news that is served only on the basis of their individual opinions alone without the need to refer to the actual facts.

"As a result, the news is presented by the flow of new media like blogs and websites, sometimes not true or half true. Unlike mainstream media, it makes the facts as a guide.

"The news published by the mainstream media is more accurate because it is based on facts that can not be denied. News like this is actually required in our society," he said.

He said that, in his speech at the breaking of the fast organized by The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Berhad (NSTP) here yesterday.

Prime Minister's visit to the headquarters of NSTP also accompanied his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.

Also present NSTP chairman Tan Sri Mohamed Jawhar Hassan, Chairman of Media Prima, Datuk Johan Jaafar; Star Group Chief Editor Datuk Aziz Ishak and chief author of other publications.

The presence of more than 500 employees NSTP also enliven the program break their fast.

In related developments, he wanted the people to wisely evaluate the facts based on the news or otherwise.

"Among the community should be more careful, especially when reading the news from new media.This is important because we want our society are not easily influenced by a news broadcast without the facts right.

"The fact is to publish news in your blog or website is not too difficult, but by" one man show, 'it can still be done, "he said.

In the meantime, the Prime Minister asked the mainstream media continues to present the news based on the fact that the public receives accurate information and useful.
