With the Discovery Channel building in Silver Springs, MD facing a hostage crisis at the moment, it comes as a breath of relief that the building has been safeguarded by the SWAT team and the police collectively. Initially, the kids from the daycare center were evacuated from the building of Discovery Channel in Silver Springs, MD, but some employees in the headquarters were taken hostages.

Now as the reports come in, it's confirmed that the hostage taker of the Discovery Channel, James Jay Lee, has been shot in Silver Springs, MD, in the building. The three hostages in Silver Spring, MD are safe and sound and currently being treated for minor injuries. The bombs and explosives believed to be brought into the Silver Springs, MD office of Discovery Channel have been detonated and the building is safe now. The condition of the shooter is unclear, as per the statement of the Chief of Police, Thomas Manger.
