September 29, 2010 sets the stage for one of the nations largest yearly health promotion event for women of any age to participate. This event is always held on the last Wednesday of September each year. The day is Women's Fitness Day.
The purpose of this day is to rally women throughout the nation and get their attention so they can take charge of their health. Across America organizations will be concentrating on spreading the word of why it is vital to get exercise and be health conscious. Over 1,400 groups spanned throughout the country will be hosting events of health and fitness. These events can be found at senior centers, hospitals, health clubs, local parks and recreations, retirement communities, service organizations, schools, places of worship and many more community locations throughout the nation.
Due to the fact this a type of grass root organizations it is a perfect time for any health related organizations and businesses to participate by getting the word out about what type of health benefits they provide for women's health.
The events in which you can expect to find being held are things such as walking events, exercise demonstrations, health screening and information workshops.
More and more lately it has been pointed out in many medical articles that women not only endure chronic pain more but are also more likely to end up with conditions and diseases like fibromyalgia.

St. Luke"s Women's Fitness Celebration in Boise, Idaho is a three day event starting September 23 through the 25th. Such events include a Women's Show at the Boise Center where there will be live entertainment, cooking demonstrations and special deals from local retailers. They also will be having a 5K Run, Walk and Stroll which is one of the biggest walk/run events in the nation.
The Ridgefield Playhouse will present an onstage Zumba dance/workout. It is fitness for women of any age. They are located in Ridgefield Connecticut.
