Troy Polamalu's million -dollar hair

Troy Polamalu , professional famous American footballer, may have just become the man with the most expensive hair in the world as Head and Shoulders has insured the famous ringlets of Pittsburgh Steelers’ Troy Polamalu for a whopping 1 million dollars.

His three-foot-long hair is something which he doesn't plan to cut any time soon.

Polamalu has reportedly not trimmed his three-foot long locks in the last eight years and takes some 45 minutes before each game to set it.

It’s correlated to what a warrior in the past would do to prepare for war. You have the Mongolians, the Japanese Samurai, the Spartans–all of these warriors with long hair…and in that way you can almost get into the mind-way, preparing for some type of battle when you are doing your hair,” Polamalu said in an interview with People.com

Polamalu, who is of Samoan decent, said it is important in their culture to take care of one’s hair as it “is a sign of power and strength.”

Troy Polamalu's hair extends past the edge of his helmet, making him recognizable to fans and more easily grabbed by opponents.

Troy Polamalu is one of the best defensive players in the NFL. He has blinding speed, a relentless motor and packs a powerful punch. However, right now his most recognizable attribute is his flowing hair which is making him quite popular among the lot.
