I was going through some old books in the house when I came across a school project I made about 10 years go, when I was 11 or 12. It was a project on literature, which included some of my own compositions. This particular one made me laugh. It was just so cute! And it brought back so many memories. Do you ever have those moments..? Which particular stuff do you see lying around the house that reminds you of those moments?
I decided to share this one, because around this time, at that age, and during the making of this project, was about the same time, I decided I wanted to be a writer. I'm sure you have those special moments too... Share them with me.. :-)
Brook and his books
There once was a kid named Brook
Who loves to read and read books.
One day he went to the library
And boy! Isn’t it big!
He picked up one book
That fell on the floor
And WHOOP!
Inside the book he snooped.
Lovely rivers he crossed,
And blue waters he swam.
To play with the fish and the corals
Who sang
So he tried and picked another one
And WHAM!
Inside the book he was down
A cascading waterfall
To the tribes of the Indians
And to the 2nd World War.
At last he chose a little book
And WHOOSH!
Seemed like it’s a dream
For in that page he saw
Peter Pan flying to and fro
Little fairies on the fields
Gremlins hiding in the weeds
And BOOM at last
His adventure was through!
It really is amazing
What books can do to you
It takes you to different places
That you may not have gone through.
Oh, and check out the funny bookish carttons i've included in the article as well! Enjoy!
