I was waiting in line and happen to strike a conversation with a decent looking kid. Being a kid at heart, we got to talk about cartoons.
We happen to like new western cartoons like Family Guy and American Dad. The conversation was pretty decent. We laughed at funny episodes until this innocent kid dropped the F word on me.
It wasn't out of cursing me, but more on a casual expression. I asked where he learned it from and guess what he says: Family Guy!
Now I enjoy watching cartoons like Family Guy, American Dad, The Simpsons and even Southpark, but I realized that children can also watch these cartoons! I remember that I laugh about funny and sarcastic comebacks of each cartoon characters. Even their "evil" schemes hit my funny bone because it's hilarious.
When you hear it from a child, it doesn't sound so funny anymore. I'm not too aware of how parents monitor their children's tv programs but I hope there's a way to do it. I certainly do not want my child to be cursing me behind my back like Stewie or Bart.
