UFC 118

UFC 118 winners and losers

It is time for the big UFC 118 and that means it is time for the Grandmaster to share his picks of the biggest fights and for you mortal people to win a ton of money, drinks or girls by knowing before the fights actually happen who will win. After all I am right 96% of the time and when I am wrong, I blame it on the Democrats, who deserve the blame for everything wrong anyway.

So without further ado here are my picks for the fights.

Penn vs Edgar. As much as I love BJ Penn Frankie Edgar is going to hand it to him again, beat him standing, beat him in take downs and beat his butt on the ground. Edgar is simply too young, too strong, and too good for Penn and Penn will find himself in another battle, and put up a great fight, probably go 3 to 4 rounds, maybe even to a decision and he will lose. Lose by tap out, knock out, or decision. BJ is finished as a World Champion in the UFC, he could win in Strikeforce but he can't win in the UFC. He can't beat Edgar, and he can't beat Georges St. Pierre, and we don't think he can beat our favorite fighter Matt Hughes either.

Couture vs Toney. This is not going to be a fight, but a learning lesson for a boxer who has a lot to learn. James Toney thinks he is superman, but he is really wonder woman and is going to have Couture pulls his panties up his butt after breaking his legs with kicks, smashing his huge head on the ground and teaching him MMA is about 5 fighting skills and boxing is only one of them, and not an important one unless both fighters want to box. You have to remember that it takes 2 to box. Each fighter has to agree to not kick or try take downs, only use their hands. Toney can't kick, can defend Coutures world class take downs and will get destroyed on the ground. We would give Toney a 75/25 chance of beating Kimbo Slice, but a 5% chance of beating Couture. The only way Toney can win is if Randy get distracted by some hot babe bending over and while taking a titty peak, takes a Toney right. But that is not going to happen. Couture will win by round 2 with submission or referee stoppage.

Maia vs Miranda: We really don't know enough about these fighters to give an intelligent pick, so we will do what Dana White does and say that both of these fighters are so tough, it is going to be a war. Sparks are going to fly, blood is going to splatter and Maia will win...but so can Miranda.

Florian vs Maynard. Maynard's nickname of “bully”is just right and as with any bully, he will be exposed and left beaten and crying when he fights someone who is not afraid of him and not intimidated by his bullying. Florian is too sharp in all aspects of MMA and will send the “bully” home beaten and crying.

Diaz vs Davis. Now this is going to be a good fight. The Irish Hand Grenade against one of the crazy Diaz brothers. Heaven help us if Diaz loses due to some problem that causes his brother and handlers to attack the referee or Dana White. Diaz is one crazy dude and he is also very mean, but Davis has a lot of heart and punching power. However we think Diaz will take him down and beat him on the ground to win the fight and save his brother from going to jail.

So those are my lock tight picks and this time you can bet your tax return on it...wait, most of my critics don't pay taxes, they get food stamps, welfare and money from mom. So they can bet their govt cheese on it. .
