Even after fifteen years, the reason behind killing of Selena Quintanilla by Yolanda Saldivar remains befogged.

The question about the reason behind the killing again came to minds of many when the film, "Selena" was broadcasted again this weekend on television, as the name, Yolanda Saldivar is being widely searched on search engines the world over.

Not only does Quintanilla's family has been looking for reasons and motives behind the 1995 tragic shooting, but also fans of the Tejano singer and police remain clueless regarding the intentions of Yolanda Saldivar.

However, when Yolanda Saldivar was asked, the shooting was termed as a mere accident by her. But the suspicion that pointed fingers towards Yolanda Saldivar was that she was accused of stealing money from Selena's account and also if the shooting was an accident, what prompted Yolanda Saldivar not to call 911 after the shooting. Also Yolanda Saldivar, who is herself a trained nurse, did not help Selena after she was shot.

With the death of Selena, the era of an unrivalled melodious voice came to an end.

Presently, Yolanda Saldivar is serving her sentence of life imprisonment.
