40 Killed, 9 Hurt in Benguet Bus Crash

One of the La-Union-bound Eso-Nice bus from Baguion City fell into a 100-foot deep ravine in Benguet province this morning, August 18, around 9:20 a.m.

39 passengers died on the spot, but the death toll has risen to 40. The 40th was remained trapped inside the bus until he passed away. Nine others were hurt and are being treated at the Baguio City General Hospital. Among these nine are the driver Romeo Subang and the bus conductor Jon Patrick Flores.
