Tomasz Schafernaker Shocks Viewers With Obscene Gesture

Storm clouds loom over BBC weatherman Tomasz Schafernaker when he made an obscene gesture to another BBC presenter live on TV.

BBC News 24 viewers were shocked when Schafernaker was seen giving the finger to news anchorman Simon McCoy.

Schafernaker realising his mistake tried to cover the gesture up by touching his face but the finger was there for all to see causing calls of complaint to the BBC complaints line.

Naked Ambition

Ambitious Schafernaker has courted controversy before when he appeared seminaked on the cover of a gay magazine Attitude Active.

A BBC spokesperson made this statement regarding Schafernaker's latest profile raising stunt:

"Tomasz was not aware that he was on air, and whilst the gesture was only shown for a second, it was not acceptable. The News Channel presenter live in the studio acknowledged a mistake had been made, and we apologise for any offence caused."
