USPA RECEIVES 2 MILLION SHILLINGS.

The Uganda Sports Press Association has today received a contribution boost of 2 million Uganda shillings from Standard Chartered Bank to enable it run the road safety campaign in Lugazi due this month.

In a press conference,Standard chartered bank corporate affairs director, Herbert Zzake appreciated USPA for this initiative aimed at reducing accidents in the country and raising awareness for road users.

USPA president Douglas Mazune on his part said that the rate of accidents has greatly reduced at the Lugazi blackspot.

The road campaign is in memory of 4 former executive members who died while on USPA duty from Jinja in 2001. The 4 were; Leo Kabunga, Kenneth Matovu, Francis Batte Junior and Simon Peter Ekarot.
