Torrent Droid: Winner of Android Bounty Contest

Google's mobile os has gone from a promising rise in 2007 to a market leader in the United States. With that some unwanted attention. Legal attention.

According to the suit, Google built Android using Java applications and frameworks, so Oracle stated that Google is still infringing on its patents.

This could be bad for Google and its partners who use Android.

Google stated it's still going to fight against the suit from Oracle.

"If you're a manufacturer today and you look at your choices, Android is still the best option," he said. "This is the only really viable alternative to beat Apple, so it would be worth the cost." -Ken Dulany
