Friday the 13th is considered a suspicious and supernatural day by those who believe in superstitions. One of the terrifying movies ever made in Hollywood also has the same name i.e. Friday the 13th. The original Friday The 13th was made in 1980s and then followed several recreations of the movie.

Friday The 13th has Jason Voorhees as its major character. Jason Voorhees still reminds people about one of the most fearful and terrorizing characters in Hollywood's history.

Friday The 13th is marked as one of the winning horror franchises in U.S. television and film sector. Though, the film has been telecasted time and again on TV channels, it has not lost its significance and fame. A TV show also followed the popularity of Friday the 13th and that too turned out to be one of the most popular among horror film fans and lovers.

Later on, the franchise was purchased by Paramount. Subsequently, Friday The 13th was also tailored into novels. Though Friday The 13th were extremely criticized after their releases, the audience, fans and lovers of Friday The 13th signaled the franchise a well done sign. As of now, Friday The 13th has numerous dedicated websites, blogs and online forums created by fans of the movie. Thousands of people use these sites every day.

As far as the superstitions regarding Friday The 13th are concerned, superstitious people believe Friday the 13th to be a day of bad luck. According to the Gregorian calendar, Friday the 13th occurs at least once and at most 3 times a year.
