For all you Van Halen Rockers! Van Halen is recording a new album with David Lee Roth 26 years after they last had a recording together.
The group has reunited with their initial singer to work on their first album in more than a decade. The record is expected to be in stores in 2011.
Although the band hasn't announced the news yet themselves, their publishing company let the news slip in a recent press release according to Britain's Guardian.
The group is now in the studio recording the album with Roth that will hit the stores next year said Warner/Chappell Music.
Roth and Van Halen's first vocalist, will be performing early hits such as Eruption and Dance the Night Away, all the way through album “1984.” Apparently there was some sort of grudge held for some years.
The group parted ways in 1985.
Billboard.com says: Van Halen last toured in 2004 with vocalist Sammy Hagar, grossing nearly $40 million, according to Billboard Boxscore.
Back in 2008 the group did go on a reunion tour despite any grudges and they also included David Lee Roth. They pulled in quite a bit of cash according to, the web site aversion.
Despite David Lee Roth's return there isn't any indication that Val Halen has reunited with the “founding” bassist Michael Anthony. Eddie Van Halen's son, Wolfgang, played the band's most recent music. Van Halen's last album was 1998's Van Halen III.
