Convicted American killer, Mechele Linehan, who was imprisoned due to the offensive murder of her fiancé, Kent Leppink, and who was sentenced for 99 years of imprisonment, was set to be freed after her appeal for conviction.
Finally, Mechele Linehan has gotten successful to get out of jail.
At the age of 16, Mechele Linehan left her home to become model in New York City, but joined a delicatessen. At the striptease club named The Great Alaskan Bush Company, Mechele Linehan met Kent Leppink and started spending time together. Later on, Kent found Mechele Linehan doubtful and removed her from his $1million life insurance policy.
Moreover, Kent also sent a letter to his parents mentioning the life threats from Scott Hilke, Mechele Linehan and John Carlin. His doubts turned into reality and Kent was murdered on May 2, 1996 in Hope, Alaska, like what happens in the film "The Last Seduction".
In the murder case of Kent Leppink, all the evidences went against Mechele Linehan and she was sentenced to 99 years of prison. But, now, Mechele Linehan has been released, on May 11, 2010, after Brian C. Watt donated the amount of her bail.
