The film focuses on the life of Mary Surratt, the lone female co-conspirator involved in the assassination of President Lincoln. Ms. Wright will play Surratt, who was publicly hanged in 1865 -- the first woman ever to be executed by the United States government.
Also on the docket: "Moneyball." Co-starring Brad Pitt, this one tells the tale of Billy Beane, General Manager of the Oakland Athletics baseball team, and his uncanny ability to get the most out of his modestly paid players. According to The Wrap, Ms. Wright will play ex-wife to ( ). Other stars signed on for roles include Philip Seymour Hoffman and Jonah Hill (something tells us those two won't play athletes).
