FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup 2010 - Trinidad and Tobago

After the huge success of the inaugural FIFA U-17 women's showpiece in New Zealand in 2008, the world awaits this year's tournament in Trinidad & Tobago.

To be held from 5 - 25 September 2010, the tournament will see 15 teams and the host Trinidad & Tobago compete for the title.

Among them are last year's champions, Korea DPR, third-placed Germany and impressive Japan. Notably missing are runners-up USA and fourth-placed England.

Confidence, and expectation will be high for Germany, whose U-20 side won the recently completed FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup 2010.

Another team to watch for will be Spain. Their U-17 women's team will be aiming to emulate their senior men's success at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa in June.

Nigeria will meet the defending champions Korea DPR in the first match of the tournament on 5 September.
