Many Filipinos were shocked hearing the news about the incident happened in Zamboanga. That was really a great blast. The officials declare that this great explosion has taken the life of 1 person, who is suspected to be the bomber and nine other persons are wounded, including the Sulu Gov. Abdusakur Tan at this airport located in the southern part of the Philippines.

Military Col. Santiago Baluyot has said that the explosion went off on a Thursday evening outside the arrival gate of the passengers of the Zamboanga city airport terminal.

He said also said that the investigators keep trying trying to verify whether the fatality was the one who carries the explosive.

It is said that the explosion had happened at 6:20pm (Philippine time), just a few minutes after the flight of Philippine Airlines has landed from Manila. Gov. Tan and the other wounded are passengers of that aircraft.

The Zamboanga City Mayor Celso Lobregat said that they will be able to figure out the suspected bomber’s identity if the police authorities will complete the investigation carefully.

Task Force Zamboanga commander, Col. Santiago Baluyot stated that they haven’t received whichever bomb threat however they have beefed up safety of the airport.
