Laura Dekker was born on a yacht and wants to be the Queen of the High Seas. She had wanted to undertake the grueling round-the-world solo trip last year itself. But had to postpone it due to objections from Child Rights Group – she has now got the go ahead. Wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with a skull, she would leave with her father in her 11.5 meter yacht – he would accompany her up to Portugal, from then on Laura would be alone on the high seas. Her divorced mother withdrew her objections and paved the way for Laura to set her courses. In order to prove her sincerity, she had successfully undergone various courses like being in total isolation for long periods, and coping with deprivation of sleep.
