We don't usually think of the word sex or sexy when it comes to factories, however the people that work there are more likely to have had a sexual confrontation than any other work place.
It all started with U.K. Human resources firm Reabur when they released a survey that determined that 19% of factory workers admitted to having encounters in the work place.
Office workers came in second at 16% and next on the list of a top ten survey were bar staff at 15%, retail, 13%, then plumbers at 11% huh?
Anyway, next is teachers at 11%, chefs were at 10%, postal workers at 9% and then we have firefighters at lower 7% and the lowest being airplane cabin crew at 6%.
It is quite unusual to some, because most people at 48% figured that cabin crew would come in at the highest percentage.
This proves that stereotyping isn't accurate when it comes to sex in the work place.
When I asked several people in my home town, most people guessed that fast food places were at the highest considering most of them are young people and teenagers with raging hormones.
However, we've yet to see a new accurate survey done in the U.S.
Wherever you are, Georgina Read, who is Reabur's co-managing director says this:
“Jobs that require a large amount of repetition tend to allow the mind to wander, quite clearly leaving it free to think of other, more exciting things,” she said in a release. “Employees must remember that not only is getting randy in the workplace likely to be a disciplinary offense, but it can also cause a great deal of friction amongst colleagues. You may think you’re being discreet, but these things always have a way of creeping out!”
