Yellow lobster caught in Bay, one in 30 million

A rare yellow lobster was caught by a fisherman from Rhode Island’s Narragansett Bay

Yellow lobsters are extremely rare, so when one gets caught it is sure to create some headline news. Recently, a very rare yellow lobster was caught by a fisherman called Denny Ingram.

This yellow lobster was found in one of Denny Ingram’s pots at the bay’s East Passage last week. This yellow lobster is golden from the top and is bright yellow from both sides, a pleasant thing to look at indeed.

Experts say that yellow lobsters are very few and far in between as there is only 1 in 30 million chances for yellow lobsters to occur naturally.

Luckily this yellow lobster will not be made into someone’s meal as Denny will keep the yellow lobster on display at the fishermen’s co-op at the State Pier in Newport.
