Fans of "The Weather Channel" were shocked to learn today that meteorologist, Betty Davis, is leaving after the July 31 edition of "Weekend View." Nothing was said about this prior to co-host Kelly Cass' brief announcement at the end of the program. Cass simply said that she would miss Davis and that they had fun during their two years working together.

Rumors are circulating that Davis did not leave voluntarily. However, whether or not she was fired/laid off is not certain at this moment. Many viewers are unhappy about this event. They posted responses on Davis' "The Weather Channel" page on "Facebook." Davis gained many loyal fans because she is knowledgeable, friendly, and attractive. She will be missed.
