Alex king, the convicted killer of his own father at the age of 12, appeared onlive a few hours ago and discussed life after prison, moving on with life, and also his effort to help other young kids in order to stop violence.
Larry King’s blog, larrykinglive.blogs.cnn.com had posted yesterday that Alex King would be appearing on his show later on. People had been waiting for the show in advance to catch a glimpse of a child who had been convicted of killing his father, wanting to know how he went through his prison life and the way he plans on leading his life in the future.
Alex King, along with his brother, was convicted of killing their father, Terry King, on the 26th of November 2001. At the time they were 12 and 13 years of age. The crime and punishment real life drama had shocked the nation. The verdict also had some expressing outrage.
The brothers finally had pleaded guilty to third-degree murder. Derek, the older brother had admitted to using a baseball bat to crush his father’s skull. Alex had confessed to coming up with the murder plan.
The boys were released from prison after seven and eight years with Derek being released in 2009 and Alex in 2008. They served short prison terms due to their tender age at the time when they committed the crime.A book written about the tragedy, A Perversion of Justice: A Southern of Murder, Lies and Innocence Betrayed, went on to reveal the tragic circumstances that led the boys to do the unthinkable.
