An inebriated constable of the Indian Central Reserve Police Force [CRPF], gunned down six of his colleagues , including the assistant commander in Jharkhand last Friday.
Constable Harpinder Singh opened fire on his colleagues in a drunken state. He went on indiscriminately firing for four hours until his colleagues shot him down.
It is not yet known as to what provoked Singh to open fire on his own colleagues. The 196 battalion of the CRPF was stationed at one of the worst Maoist hit areas of the state of Jharkhand.
