Last April executive assistant Kayden Nguyen filed a law suit in Los Angels against blues guitarist, action movie star, and lawman Steven Seagal siting "sexual harassment" charges. On Tuesday July 13 lawyers for Nguyen filed papers with the Los Angeles courts requesting that the case be dismissed. An accusation Seagal vehemently denies.
While lawyers for both sides had been working on an out of court settlement, no reason was given for the request for dismissal.
According to the papers that were filed, Nguyen claims that after answering an ad for an executive assistant via Craigslist, Nguyen was then expected to become one of Seagal's "sex toys" available to him 24 hours a day. Nguyen also claims that Seagal abused her and kept her prisoner in his Louisiana home.
At the time of the accusations and subsequent suit Seagal wasin Jefferson Parish filming his reality show "Steven Seagal Lawman". Filming of the show was suspended once the suit became public. Seagal is a bona fide member of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department. While he has played a lawman of some variety in a number of his movies, in Jefferson Parish, he is the real deal with no acting.
Lawyers for Seagal labeled the law suit as a vengeful act from a former executive assistant who was trying to get back at Seagal for being fired.
