After Typhoon "Basyang" remained its speed and force for the past six (6) hours, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical & Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) have announced that it is possible for the said typhoon to have an earlier landfall compared to Pagasa's earlier forecast.

According to Pagasa Dir. Prisco Nilo, its slight change in direction this noon which have caused it to hit at an earlier time in the portions of Aurora and Quezon.

As remembered based from Pagasa's earlier forecast, it is possible to hit landfall in Aurora and Isabela, but Nilo admitted only this afternoon that there had been recent changes on the tracking of typhoon Basyang.

The center of the typhoon was lately perceived at a distance of fourty (40) kilometers north east of Daet, Camarines Norte.

It possess a strong wind at one hundred twenty (120) kilometers per hour near the center and falls at one hundred fifty (150) kilometers per hour.

Its moving towards west at a speed of twenty-two (22) kilometers per hour.

Signal No. 2: Isabela, Nueva Viscaya, Nueva Ecija, Quirino, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Southern Quezon, Marinduque, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes

Signal No. 1: Cagayan, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Benguet, Ifugao, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Zambales, Pampanga, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Albay and Metro Manila.

Typhoon "BASYANG"
At 4:00 P.M. today, the center of Typhoon "BASYANG" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 40 kms North Northeast of Daet, Camarines Norte (14.4 °N, 123.3 °E) with maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph. It is forecast to move West at 22 kph.The Eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon will experience stormy weather with rough to very rough seas. The rest of Luzon will have rains and gusty winds with moderate to rough seas while Visayas and Mindanao will be mostly cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest to Southeast will prevail over the rest of the country with moderate to rough seas.
