Outgoing Bafana Bafana coachParreira will be heading off to Brazil for a break at the end of the month, when his contract runs out with the hosts of the 2010 World Cup.
"I'll have a break and then we shall see."
He added: "I shall return to Brazil at the end of my contract in July and I'd like to rest up there till year's end, see family and friends and then see.
Under his stewardship the South Africans were unable to get out of the opening group phase - thus becoming the first host nation to fail to do so.
"I want to thank the South African people for having confidence in me - though we did not obtain the hoped-for results we left behind a good account of ourselves. Football is going to develop on the (African) continent and I hope there will be another World Cup in Africa."
Parreira - who saw his side fail to reach the second round only on inferior goal difference to Mexico as 'Bafana Bafana' rounded off the group stage with a 2-1 win over hapless 2006 finalists France - won the 1994 trophy with Brazil.
