Even in Death

I drove home in my BMW, leaving the airport where my boyfriend's, Alex, plane took off. Tears streaming down my face just like my brunette hair in the wind.

When I got home I realized my best friend, Brandon, was coming over for pizza. We do pizza every Friday night. The July heat peering through my windows down at me.

Knock. Tap. Knock. I instantly knew it was Brandon, thats his knock. I opened the door and saw him. "C'mon in." I whispered.

"Hey Babe." he cocked his head back. Babe is his term for Nikki, my name. Brandon and I have been friends forever!

His brown hair hung over his eyes with his blonde skunk streak. His naturally tan skin stuck out in a crowd full of pale people. His red shirt and baggy blue shorts were all his 'formal' clothes.

I got my phone out in my hand, ready to dial. "Pisanello's tonight?" He flipped through the channels, "Sure. I don't care..." He smiled. His smile helped since Alex was gone...

I hung up and sat on the couch next to Brandon. "So what'cha wanna watch?" I thought... "News?" I listened into the news channel.

"Today fifty unlucky passengers died in a horrid plane crash. First off we have Alex Kadarma.." I immediatly turned the T.V. off.

I became unaware of all of my surroundings. "Br-Brandon is what I heard what i heard?" I stuttered just to get my sentence out.

My lips curled, I feel to the ground and started bawling my eyes out. Brandon picked me up and cradled me in his arms. "Sh... everything is gonna be okay." Except for the fact my boyfriend is dead!
