BP discouraging crews from using respirators

There are many apologists for the oil giant BP. They apologize because they want to further the myth that giant corporations need no government oversite or very lax ones at best. This isn't just about the oil industry though, but any industry those apologists want no real oversite over. Financial, agribusiness etc, it doesn't matter. The fact is, before the oil rig blowout there was heated disagreements between representatives from BP and Transocean Ldt, the company that actually ran the rig. It seems, not shocking in the least, that BP wanted to take a shortcut on the process of removing heavy drilling fluid without taking precautionary measures against gas righting into the pipe.

BP has forced cleanup workers and boat operators sign non-disclosure forms that they will not speak to the media. They deny this now. Also cleanup workers have been denied respirators or face masks because it would imply a significant health risk and BP is afraid of lawsuits. So in other words, low paid workers be damned, we have profit margins to protect!

Well, BP doesn't sign my check so they can't shut me or others up. They can't buy me off like they have bought off local police to shut up the media by blocking them from access of beaches.

BP has in fact bought up search words on the internet in order to control what results people get. You heard me right, BP is trying to control the internet as much they can so the public doesn't really know how despicable they really are. This is the company that is apologized for by the rightwing. Why don't they want you to know the truth about BP?

This is typical. I think a part of the problem is that BP is more worried about losing the well, than with capping it.

Thanks for sharing Jerry!
