Richard Walker drowns in Trinity River in Fort Worth

The man who drown in Fort Worth's Trinity River has been identified as Richard Walker, who was attempting to rescue his child, who slipped on a rock, Monday, but he later died while being swept away in the current.

Sandra Walker, his wife, is hospitalized after being saved from jumping in the river as well. The child is in good condition.

Jeff Harrison, a bicyclist, attempted to rescue Walker according to a news report by WFAA Channel 8.

"I noticed the guy was in the current, and he just wouldn't get out of the current," Harrison said.
