5. Movie Gallery/Hollywood Video/ Game Crazy: announced April 30, 2010. The company announced that all stores would begin the liquidation process in May.
6. Hibbett Sports: announced March 15, 2010. The company is opening 30 new stores, expanding 20 high performing stores, and closing 10-15 stores that aren't performing well.
7. Ann Taylor: announced March 12, 2010. Plan to close 72 stores in 2010, making the total number of Ann Taylor and LOFT stores that have closed in three years 174.
8. Blockbuster: announced February 24, 2010. Expect to close 500-545 underperforming stores in 2010.
9. Jo-Ann: announced March 10, 2010. Plans to open 30 new stores and close 30 stores in 2011.
10. Disney Store: February 8, 2010. In the process of closing 24 U.S. stores and 3 Canadian stores, they plan to update and keep with the Magic Kingom theme park vibe.
