Richard Pryor was a legend in comedy. He inspired many comedians, and two of those comedians are bringing him back to life - through film. Chris Rock and Adam Sandler are producing the biopic, and have picked Marlon Wayans to play the starring role.

The picture is titled "Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said?", and will tell the story of Pryor's life, from his childhood at his grandmother's brothel in Peoria, Illinois, to his rise to stardom and struggle with drug addiction.

Richard Pryor, who died in 2005 at the age of 65, had picked "The Hangover" star Mike Epps to play the role, but Rock said after having Wayans test for it, that he was born to play the role, as he was able to not just portray the comedic side of Pryor, but the vulnerable side as well.

Bill Condon will direct the film, ehich is set to begin as soon as he finishes his work on "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn". Eddie Murphy, who co-starred with Pryor in "Harlem Nights", was originally attached to the project, but elected out due to "creative differences".
