A radio commentator from Kalinga, a province in Northern Philippines, was shot dead at his home last Saturday, just five days into the administration of Pnoy (a folksy name being used to refer to President Benigno "Noynoy" C. Aquino III).

Jose Daguio, 75, was shot with a shotgun on the right side of his body and was immediately rushed to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital but was pronounced Dead On Arrival by the doctors.

He worked as a radio commentator Radyo natin Tabuk and is a part time columnist at a community newspaper.

This is first media killing experience during the first few days of President Noynoy's Administration but is just one name added to the long list of media killings in the Philippines and sadly, the majority of these killings are still unsolved like the Maguindanao massacre which happened November,2009.

What a shame again on the part of the RP government. How many life will be taken before Our country will gain it's peace again. We are too far from the other countries with such very helpful and law abiding governance, unlike to RP which political leaders are the one who strikes against their people. But I am still proud to be a Filipino for this is the land where was born, with such loving people and great down to earth attitudes.
