Played today was a great football match that might shape the entire face of the ongoing World Cup.

The two powers that came onto the field were Germany and England. Eventually, it were Germany who defeated England in today’s match with a great margin - 4-1.

As a result of the defeat, the British had to bid farewell to the FIFA World Cup 2010, letting the semifinalists of 2006’s World Cup to reach the quarterfinals in 2010.

Credit for the German victory goes to Thomas Mueller, who scored two quick goals in the last twenty minutes of the second half. Podolski also scored the second goal for Germany, but it wouldn’t have been possible without Thomas Mueller’s efforts.

When I placed $50 at 12/1 on Germany to win the World Cup, I had done my homework. I had determined that youth would prevail over experienced older stars of Germany's opponents, and that this team looked good. But what an understatement that's turned out to be! The German team is simply brilliant! Whatever happens in the semi-finals, the world will have to take a look at how Germany has been able to do what it has with its young team of incredibly skilled and fit players. The ease at which the German team demolished England and Argentina is quite remarkable, and I congratulate the Germans for putting on a most entertaining display of football.
