What would happen if everyone in the world became vegetarian? If everyone in the world didn't eat any meat or fish. Think about how that would affect the world. But there is a very, very, very slim possibility that that will ever happen. But what if we got everyone in the world, or even as a start, just the United States, to not ear meat, or fish, for one day. One day out of 365 days. Is that such a hard task? It really isn't. There should be a national Vegetarian Day. Where restaurants and stores participating don't serve meat. Where every t.v channel participating would run a program about being vegetarian, and how easy it is to be green. Since you can't force people not to eat meat, make it a pride thing. Have powerful people indorse the day.
Being a vegetarian would alleviate human starvation and in return there would be an increase in growth of wild animals without additional sufferings on humans or any other animals. The land used originally for farm animals would feed more people off of plant protein. Plants yield 10 times more protein per acre than meat. More than 7 billion animals die yearly for human consumption. So by cutting out one day out of 365 days of meat eating, think about how many animals we could save, and how much more earth friendly we could be, if we cut out that ONE day.
