Gary, IN -- Journalist from all over the world are headed to Gary, Indiana for the one-year anniversary, June 25, death of pop star Michael Jackson.
In a TMZ report, sources said Katherine Jackson, and his three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket will be in town for what is suppose to be a "private" ceremony with family and friends.
A prayer vigil is planned at Jackson's small childhood home. The city will try to accommodate Jackson's fans. Mayor Ruby Jack Clay is working to clean the city for the large influx of visitors.
Michael Jackson's family has a proposed Jackson Family Museum and Cultural Center is the works. The Chicago Tribune reports the Jackson family acquired 300 acres from the city of Gary on June 2, 2010, for an estimated $300 million project to honor the Michael Jackson and his family.
The project includes: a Jackson family museum, performing arts center, hotel, retail, restaurants, residential units and golf course. The project would be paid for by the Jackson Family Foundation and private investors, not by taxpayers, official said according to The Chicago Tribune.
