Suge Knight, Kanye West face off in NYC over law suit

In New York there is a battle between some of the biggest names in the rap industry.

Suge Knight and Kayne West are battling a civil suit case in the court rooms.

They were both present at a conference room meeting between West, Knight, and their representation over an incident that involved a shooting back in 2005.

In 2005 MTV hosted the music awards in Miami where Kanye West was throwing a party at the luxurious Shore Club on Miami Beach.

An unnamed gun man came into the party and shot Knight in the leg. Suge Knight, who has promoted some of the biggest names in the rap industry in the 1990’s has come across some financial troubles in his personal life.

The arguemnet is that Knight will file a law suit against Kanye for the lack of security at the party. The lack of security let in the shooter creating a situation where the bullet that hit Knight shattered his femur costing him over $200,000 in doctors fees.

Knight has filed for bankruptcy in 2006 and says the operation was money that was unplanned for, and could have helped him in his everyday life.

The meeting over the incident lasted for six hours that did not come to any conclusions. Kanye and his lawyers argue that he was not apart of the security. That the Shore Club was, and it was not his fault it turned into such a violent incident.

The cas has yet to be resolved and Knight is looking for $1,000,000 in compensation to be shared with his lawyers, and to fund his bankruptcy case.
