Boycotting BP gas stations might be named as people’s revenge. The denizens of South Florida have found their own way to show their anger towards BP by boycotting their gas stations.
It has been almost 60 days since the BP oil spill started and thousands of gallons of crude oil gushed from the Gulf of Mexico. No remedy seems to be working out and people are frustrated from the snail-paced performance of the concerned authorities.
Hence some of the drivers in South Florida have boycotted BP gas stations in an act of vengeance.
As a result of this, many independent owners have displayed signboard writings on their gas stations manifesting their aloofness from the oil giant, so that their gas sale is not hampered.
Also on facebook, “BP boycott” has been able to gather around 640,000 fans. This might not affect BP or its economics, but it is a way of manifestation of ordinary citizens’ anger over the current happenings.
