Gannett News-Leader caught up in an election scam/cover up and people say time to boycott them!

Time to Boycott the News-Leader

"I think we could all agree ... the No. 1 goal for our community is jobs," Mayor Jim O'Neal said. "Without that, everything starts to unravel." Sorry too late Mayor ----people are upset they are losing jobs and businesses and they are moving to other cities like Ozark and Nixa. Also people in Springfield are shopping in other communities so sale tax revenues will continue to drop like a rock---good luck.

They only did one small story about election issue after complaints of no coverage. Reporter Wes Johnson agreed complaint may have merit over ballot language telling people no tax increase yet not putting would be tax decrease if vote no. Reporter Cory de Vera was told election night that a school on west side only had a very small election sign at back of building only 52 votes. Knights of Columbus had no sign at street and people on west side said did drove by several times and seen no sign of election. Clearly attempt to lower vote by city and county. The County Clerk should explain or resign.

The What we owe News-leader article from April 11, 2010 said “As of June 30 said we owe almost 750 million and by midweek Editor Don Wyatt was toast. Springfield Chamber of Commerce President Jim Anderson wrote to Gannett that Wyatt was not supporting the "Community" and should be fired. Anderson is the one that should be fired.

Note: Jim Hornaday gave a very good presentation showing that in the past the city has spent one million of CIP money on streetscape at the bus terminal and CIP on Greene County Parks and the Airport.

It was really a staged event not a real election. People on the West and North side are saying they knew nothing of the election until all Springfield News hyped the election results. What a slap to Springfield, Missouri and the Nation. Media helps keep turnout down! Wait lets turn our elections over to China and see if we get any better?

The News-Leader is out of control and it is time to unsubscribe!
