Russia has uncovered a mass grave with at least 495 skeletons, many with gunshot wounds to the head. The grave probably dates back to when Josef Stalin was Soviet dictatorin the 1930s.
On the outskirts of the Pacific Ocean port of Vladivostok, it appears at least 3.5 tonnes of bones have been extracted after workmen building a road discovered them.
Under Stalin's rule millions of Soviet citizens were executed or died in labour camps from the 1920s until his death in 1953.
A childs crushed skull was one item found and it was close to a bead bracelet and a small slipper. There was also money and clothes from the 1930s found at the site.
