Las Vegas, NV
A short while ago Sue Lowden gave her congratulations to Sharron Angle for her win in the Nevada Republican U.S. Senate Primary Election.
With 59.23% of the Precincts Reporting (per the Nevada Secretary of State Website) the current (unofficial) count is as follows:
Republican U.S. Senate Primary
Sharron Angle (39.29%) 54,020 votes
Sue Lowden (26.97%) 37,078 votes
Tarkanian (22.97%) 31,585 votes
Democratic U.S. Senate Primary
Senator(I) (75.76%) 71,571 votes
None of these Candidates (10.39%) 9,818 votes
(8.22%) 7,762 votes
The State of Nevada can prepare for a very long Summer and Fall of Political commercials and non-stop campaigning, that is for sure, as Sharron Angle continues to attempt to take on the Incumbent Senator Harry Reid (D), and win the Senate seat he has held for so long.
One can only wonder if Sharron Angle will begin to campaign with something new that will tell us about her as a person and why she should be the Senator of Nevada or simply continue to just use her slogan of "dump Harry Reid" as the only way to win a Senate Seat. Only time will tell.
