Great damage caused by a tornado that hit Ohio and Michigan. The tornado has collapsed several houses and buildings and a lot of property has been reduced down to rubble in a short span of time. The tornado swept through the areas last night resulting in almost 17 injuries and Illinois, Ohio and Michigan have suffered the devastating effects of a series of tornados that swept through the areas last night. Streator is one the badly ravaged cities in Illinois. A lot of people are homeless and shelter less now and rescue agencies are all set to provide food, shelter and first aid to the affected. In a news conference Streator Mayor Jimmie Lansford announced the number of injured people and added that at least 30 buildings have major structural damages. The situation is so grave that people who witnessed the tornado are describing the city as a war zone, full of rubble and collapsed buildings. There were other cities, which were also hit by the tornado such as Elmwood, Peoria, Hanna City, Washington, East Peoria, Dwight, Kankakee and St. Anne, however the damage wasn’t as bad as it was in Streator.
