Apple Ipad is all the rage these days, with all of us wanting to own one. But do you know this new hi-fi gadget has many shortcomings. Read on to know more.....

Here are the 10 important features it does not have:

Flash: The ipad uses safari browser which doesn’t have flash, just like the iphone. This is a huge drawback.

No camera: It does not have a user facing camera to enable video conferencing/video chats. This feature was at top on the list of expected features, but apple disappointed users.

No multitasking: Even though apple has rearranged iPhone’s OS in a new way to work on the new apple iPad, it still fails to run the background processes. This again is a big detractor.

No Verizon: Verizon Wireless is not providing the 3G wireless service which comes as a choice with iPad. Instead of Verizon, AT&T is providing this service.

No wide screen display: Although you can watch HD movies on its 9.7-inches display, it fails to match the 16:9 standard screen dimension that many of the other modern devices support.

No Mac OS: The iPad works on a new processor A4, manufactured by the Apple itself. It runs at 1GHz, which appears suitable for an iPhone OS, but it doesn’t run the more efficient full OS X, something which would have really made the device rock.

No GPS: There is an accelerometer for a great gaming experience, but there is no GPS. This means Google Maps will have to rely on 3G and/or Wi-fi to locate the iPad. Too much to replace your smartphone.

Enough Storage: iPad can sync content with iTunes and users can add/remove content as they wish, but the maximum space of 64 GB is not sufficient, especially for those who are a lot into games, movies and music.

Removable Battery: Following the footsteps of iPhone and the newer laptops, which don’t have a user-removable battery.

No HDM1: It doesn’t feature an HDM1 port, which makes it incompatible with all the modern HDTVs.
