Doc Opens Up About Elvis Presley’s...

Never neglect constipation – it can cause death. That is what happened to Elvis Presley, the legendary American pop singer of the 60s, regarded as the King of Rock-n-Roll. He died in 1977 at the age of 42 and his death had till now been attributed to a weak heart: it was actually a case of acute constipation. This has been revealed by his personal doctor Dr. George Nick Nichopoulos. He was present at the deathbed and had tried to resuscitate him but failed. An autopsy had shown that the length of his colon was nine feet against the normal length of four to five feet and the diameter was five to six inches whereas the normal diameter is two to three inches. The waste matter trapped in the con was several months old!! It was all very confusing and detailed investigations were carried out in consultation with specialists. A suggestion had been put up to him to get it operated but he did not agree – his boated appearance at the time of his death was due to severe constipation.
