Nootka Sound on Vancouver Island

Some time back there was a mysterious appearance of Sea Lice at a salmon "fish farm" on the west coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Biologist Alexandra Morton went with a crew to the beautiful and isolated location in Nootka Sound to investigate what was reported to be a new strain of "drug resistant" Sea Lice. She was shocked at what they discovered and dismayed at the possiblity of the species spreading further afield. Please follow Alexandra on her investigative journey into the ugly side of Sea lice by watching the excellent video below;

It will truly shock anyone concerned with salmon and the need to protect our precious ocean habitat.

good you keep reporting on that one!
I think it's really just a question of people not knowing enough about it.

Thanks Sarah...the video is a real "eyeopener"...sadly the Sea Lice will be an "eyecloser" for some young salmon :-(
