Lalit Modi is suspended from the post of IPL commissioner

BCCI has suspended IPL commissioner Lalit Modi from his post. The news has come just after IPL final. He has been accused of financial impropriety. There has been daily drama during last two weeks regarding IPL and Lalit Modi. All these started with Lalit Modis accuse to central minister Shashi TharoorShashi Tharoor.

BCCI was in a mood to eliminate him from IPL. Governing council meeting was fixed on April 26, 2010 immidiately after IPL final. Modi did not want to attend the meeting but he announced intwitter that he would attend and chair the IPL governing council meeting in a dramatic mood on April 25. BCCI has decided to suspend him to restrict him from attending and presiding the governing council meeting.

He spoke in the IPL award giving ceremoney that all alegations are based on half truth. He also told that he has been successful in bringing India to the forefront of sports. IPL has become greatest sports brand in the world. IPL has faced many challenges in this season and he hope that IPL would come out of all alegations and would be proven clean. He thanked every one including BCCI for extending support to IPL. He finally thanked all the fans.
