New Delhi: Shashi TharoorShashi Tharoor met Sonia GandhiSonia Gandhi today at 4.45 PM, IST. The meeting lasted for about 20 minutes according to sources. He is allegedly involved in Kochchi team controversy of IPL. Lalit Modi, Chairman of IPL has accused him of getting advantage of his portfolio.

BJP, the main opposition party in India have demanded his resignation. Left parties have joined BJP yesterday. Pranab MukherjeePranab Mukherjee, finance Minister of India and senior congress party leader called him yesterday. Shashi Tharoor is a Junior minister in Foreign ministry of India.

Tharoor wanted to meet Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson, congress party yesterday. However, Sonia Gandhi did not meet with him. He could meet the congress president only after having three meetings with Pranab Mukherjee.
