Delhi: Opposition parties will bring cut motion jointly in Indian parliament. 13 parties are agreed to vote against UPA government in the Loksabha. The cut motion will be coming on a finance bill proposed by Pranab Mukherjee, Finance Minister of India.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and CPI(M) will jointly enforce the cut motion as an unexpected move in Indian politics. Both these parties are bitter rivals. Samajwadi party, Rashtriya Janata Dal and several other parties have come together in this issue.

It is worth noted that India has been facing severe price hike in commodities especially in the food sector since last year. This is a major cause of concern for citizens especially economically deprived classes in India. Opposition has been alleging the UPA government of not taking appropriate and enough action to control price hike. Recent hike in petroleum price (union budget 2010) has put flame to the issue. The opposition parties are demanding role back of petroleum price hike.

This cut motion may create political problems for the UPA government. They have to show the skill of political intellegence and floor management in the parliament. It is a big headache for the ruling parties despite their majority in the Loksabha, the lower house in Indian parliament.
