Shampoos, gels, soaps pollute the environment

Switch on the TV and you will be bombarded with ads of soaps, shampoos and gels promoted by celebrities of the silver screen. A study has revealed that using these products at the time of taking a bath can pollute the water and give rise to environment pollution. This is a new find and will certainly be contested by makers of products that showcase the miracles of shampoo that give glistening hair, or body soaps that guarantee soft skins or other such products that promise the moon. These are washed down in the course of taking a bath and pollute the drained water and add to environment pollution – these should be avoided. The wastes from showers are a combination of soap suds and remnants of shampoo and give rise to Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). An earlier concept was that the APIs usually originate in the lavatories from human liquid and solid wastes but research has now shown that drained waters from bathrooms are equally to blame.
